About 5 years ago, CATO (NAR 581/TRA SE CT) was looking for a way to boost and retain membership. One idea was to provide new club members with a small token of welcome to CATO. A small parachute in club colors sounded like something we could do. Being an avid sewer, I "volunteered" to give them a try. The parachutes were quite popular, and club members started asking for more, and in additional sizes. So, I expanded the product line, and was selling the new sizes at every club launch. Over time, of course, someone said - "Hey, you know you can sell these things to the rest of the rocketry community, don't you?" And CATO-Chutes was born. After a very successful year and a half of regional events, CATO-Chutes is proud to introduce our new web store.

CATO-Chutes are renowned in the Northeast US for their high quality and endurance. Fans of the CATO-Chute claim that they come with a little bit of recovery luck sewn right in.

The name CATO only refers to where they were born. To our knowledge, no CATO-Chute has ever caused a "really cool" event on the pad!

CATO Chutes are warranted against almost anything...except:

• Incineration
• Deployment at full speed
• Hanging in the top of a tree

If anything else goes wrong, we will gladly repair or replace your CATO-Chute for as long as you own it.
